For the inquiry two assignment I will focus on the same
topic as I did in inquiry one. I will be
analyzing the visual aspect of the website, the fonts, pictures, and colors
used on the website. People will care because so many of us are influenced by
websites to spend money, When you to the webpage you immediately see the sites
and emblem in silver, green, and orange. The entire page’s background is red.
At the top of the homepage there are different boxes with headings. The pages
headings are categorized by Movie, TV, DVD, Trailer, Reviews and News. This
webpage even has a direct link to Facebook. There are images at the top of the
page showing the biggest blockbusters that instantly draw people’s attention
and lure them to the site. I feel that this site intended audience is 18-24.
The font is bold and bright which is easy to read. My goal is go analyze what colors, fonts, and
pictures used to persuade audiences to see certain movis.
Matt, I think this will be an interesting website to analyze. You might want to think in more specific terms about audience. Would everyone in the world between 18-24 be persuaded to watch the movies on this website? Maybe there are many different types of audiences that might be attracted to this website, but what different kinds of audience? And how do they reach out to these intended audiences? You might also continue to hone why people would care about the analysis. Are they being tricked to spend money? Or are they spending money because they're part of a community? Or are there techniques that other movie web designers can follow or change based on this analysis? Those are just a few things to continue thinking about.
