Peer Review
When I saw the words peer review, I immediately thought of high school and how we would pass our papers around and simply just put what we liked about each paper. When I would I get my paper back there would just be six or seven sentences underlined with an arrow to the margin saying how well they thought this sentence was written never getting any real feedback about your paper. Upon watching the peer review videos, I learned what we did was never peer review. Now I actually know what peer review is. I find myself making comments on others papers about their details and their analysis trying to help improve their paper. While I still tell them what they did well at in their paper, I also give them feedback about the things they could tweak to make their paper flow better. I tend to see a lot of comments about certain words people used the good and the bad. Others about analysis: if theres not enough or where there could be more. I see that some people write about everyday things while others write about very serious matters. All in all, I think that after watching the peer review videos and reading the peer review essay I can now give actual feedback to help improve my classmates papers.
